This is Madonna, a female breeder Hahn’s mini macaw. She is not old – she is 5 or 6 years old. She used to be a pet, but is a little shy now. She has nipped me, but not bitten (but then, I’m pretty quick around the breeders!) She is egg laying, and will have at least 3 clutches each year, with 3 or 4 eggs each clutch. I have not had babies from her as I don’t think she bonded with my male.
