This is the little sister to the other Scarlet baby. They are both beautiful, chunky babies and they are just starting to have red quills popping out on their heads. Both have tiny tail feathers already too. The Scarlet takes about 5 months to wean, so baby can go home the end of June or the beginning of July. We go at the baby’s rate, so sometimes it will be a little shorter than I estimate, or it may be a few weeks longer.
DNA has been sent out. Babies are getting big, and have been moved from the brooder to a large tub on a heating pad. They are starting to be interested in various toys in the tub now too. This baby is a little girl.
