Severe Mini Macaws are wonderful family pets! They are sweet, smart, social, and very intelligent. They are very good talkers, one of the clearest talkers of the macaws. Their voices are totally adorable. Measuring between 16 and 17 inches from head to tail, they are easily housed, and don’t need giant cages.
Their cons are that they are parrots, so they do need to be socialized daily with the family members. If only one person gives the baby attention, its not the bird’s fault if it only likes that one person in the family! Although they are considered miniature macaws, these birds can be loud, so I would not suggest one for anyone living in an apartment.
