The Illiger Mini Macaw/Blue winged macaw is one of the rarest of the minis. They are not easily found in the pet trade due to the fact that many bird breeders are producing them to be put back into the breeding programs in order to help bump up the population. We only sell 2 or 3 a year to the public, otherwise how would anyone know how wonderful these little guys are? They are approximately 16 inches fully grown, and are fun loving, people friendly birds. They can learn to talk, and do tricks. The babies have a dark forehead and belly that will turn orange/red as they mature. This is a stock photo, not my breeder pair.

We recently lost the love of our life (a sweet little green cheek conure) and are looking for a larger bird to help make our home complete. Our green cheek spent 24 hours a day with us and her passing has left a huge void in our lives. We are interested in talking with you about the illiger mini macaws as a good fit with our life (we own a scuba diving shop and plan to take our feathered family member to work with us).
